As well as Lino Prints, I Also make prints from glass plates. The technique involves multiple layering of different colours of aquarelle paint until an image is built up. Unlike Lino Prints, there is no way (or if there is, I haven't found it..yet) of knowing what a Glass Print will look like until the glass is removed from the paper/canvas. That makes the technique both unpredictable and exciting. If the image is not very good or interesting when the plate is removed, I add another layer...or two..or three, until I'm satisfied with the result. I use square glass plates – 7 cm x 7 cm, 9 cm x 9 cm, & 15 cm x 15 cm.
